Conmemoran Día Nacional de las Personas Defensoras Públicas
Guanajuato, Gto. a 4 de marzo de 2022. En el marco de la Conmemoración del Día Nacional de las Personas Defensoras Públicas, la Secretaría de Gobierno a través de la Dirección General de Defensoría Pública, inició el ciclo de conferencias sobre ética, defensa pública y justicia, además de reconocer el desempeño y la trayectoria de cuatro personas defensoras públicas.
La Secretaria de Gobierno, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, destacó el importante trabajo que realizan las y los defensores para garantizar a la sociedad una participación en los procesos judiciales en condiciones de igualdad con la contraparte y de efectividad ante el órgano jurisdiccional.
“Nuestras personas defensoras han refrendado reiteradamente su compromiso no solo por capacitarse y actualizarse, sino por brindar un servicio con calidez, con un alto sentido humano, por esta entrega y esta sensibilidad, nuestro mayor reconocimiento a cada uno de ustedes”, agregó.
Se reconoció el trabajo de las siguientes personas defensoras públicas destacadas 2022: Ma. Elena Quintana Martínez, de la defensoría especializada en adolescentes; Miguel Ángel Ramírez Padilla, de la representación gratuita en materia civil; Jorge Antonio Chávez Martínez, de la defensoría pública penal; y Óscar Guadarrama Pérez, de la defensoría administrativa del servidor público.
El Dr. Francisco M. Mora Sifuentes presentó su conferencia magistral “La función social de las personas defensoras Púbicas”; mientras que Elisa Jaime Rangel participó con su ponencia “Razón y conveniencia del comportamiento ético”.
En el evento estuvieron presentes Ma. Rosa Medina Rodríguez, Magistrada Presidenta del Supremo Tribunal de Justicia y del Consejo del Poder Judicial del Estado; la Diputada Irma Leticia González Sánchez, Presidenta del H. Congreso del Estado de Guanajuato; Vicente de Esqueda Méndez, Procurador de los Derechos Humanos en Guanajuato; José Luis Manrique Hernández, Subsecretario de Servicios a la Comunidad; María del Pilar Gómez Enríquez, Directora General de Defensoría Pública; y al Maestro Miguel Ángel Ramírez Padilla, Defensor Público en materia Civil; además de defensoras y defensores públicos del Estado de Guanajuato.
Las y los defensores públicos asumen la representación legal de las personas, proveen un servicio de asesoría y representación jurídica gratuita en materias penal, penal especializada para adolescentes, civil y familiar, y responsabilidades administrativas.
